Guitar overdubs 070210 & new mic

The overdubbing has started, Mattarns parts for Datzun are now done. We used a combination of three mic's (Sennheiser E606, Shure Betas SM 57 and Röde NTK) on Mattarns Orange stack, and it sounded great!

Oh, and I just got a new mic today, a vintage Sennheiser Black Fire 541. Can't wait to try it out on some loud guitars..

It's been a long and tough day, but we more or less have drums for three more songs recorded. Tomorrow there will be some pictures.

Day 1

We had a great first day in the studio. Sakke Koivula came in and made the drums sound amazing and we are right on schedule with basic tracks for two songs done. The new album will be killer!

First

The studio diary of Mangoo is now open! We´ll be heading out to Noisecamp studios in Turku on monday for the first sessions for our second album. We have lot's of new, strong material and the next album is going to be killer! Stay tuned for pictures, videos and other randomness over the next couple of months.
